SFL has partnered Neo Prime in India to air the show, which will have the participants living under one roof with complete camera surveillance documenting their day to day preparations in the quest to become a professional fighter.

The show is designed to be a boot camp where 16 (eight men & eight Women) MMA fighting exponents will be trained and put through their paces to get them ready to compete against each other in matches that will be of elimination format with the last remaining male and female fighters getting an official contract with SFL.

SFL chairman Raj Kundra said, "SFL Challengers is a natural progression after SFL fight nights to facilitate the growth of the sport in the Country, the aim is to find India's MMA stars and to provide them world class facilities to develop."

The show will have the men being trained by SFL COO and India’s first Kick Boxing World Champion Daniel Isaac. The women on the other hand will be trained under the tutelage of Serbian MMA fighter Sanja Sucevic.

Neo Sports Broadcast Executive Chairman Harish Thawani said, "This is a first of its kind sports reality show and seamlessly syncs with our programming philosophy to provide top drawer blockbuster action. Neo is associating with a fight sport for the first time as we were in search for strong Indian appeal in terms of participation and ownership. SFL Challengers services that perfectly."

Meanwhile, Canada’s Fight Network has become the official home for Super Fight League events from India.

SFL has already hosted three successful events, which will be premiering Thursdays on Fight Network, beginning with SFL 1 on 19 July.

"Fight Network is continually seeking relevant mixed martial arts organizations from across the world and Super Fight League has carved out its niche as a premier organization operating out of Asia, a growing market for the sport," said Fight Network VP of Programming & Production Chad Midgley.

"The group has already committed to an extensive 2012 schedule in India, while signing some of the best free agents available and offering world-class production value in its shows, making it a perfect fit for Fight Network's diverse audience."

SFL CEO Ken Pavia added: “Super Fight League seeks to bring their vision of Sportainment to North America and we couldn’t think of a better platform than Fight Network to partner with for our first three events. They know the fight game and we believe their target audience will appreciate the level of sport from the top Asian organization.”

SFL returns on 8 September with a stacked card from Bengaluru featuring Todd Duffee. The action continues with SFL 5 set for October 6 in Channai, India, with a planned main event pitting Pride knockout artist Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou against South African veteran Trevor Prangley.
