Airtel likely to launch Xstream Stick for its Digital TV customers to watch OTT content

Bharti Airtel is likely to launch Airtel Xstream Smart Stick soon for its Digital TV customers. to watch OTT content. On Wednesday Airtel’s mobile app went live with a new plan under the section Plans and Offers named “Airtel Stick Bundle”. The plan as per the Airtel app comes bundled with Airtel Digital TV.

The Xstream stick is also now listed on Airtel’s portal for its dealer as per a screenshot shared by member jay vithlani who is a DTH dealer. According to our member Arsh who is also a DTH dealer, the stick was supposed to launch last Thursday altho it didn’t. The new Xstream stick is likely to launch soon. Airtel is yet to reveal its launch date or pricing,

According to Android, the stick will run on Android 8.0. It is to broadcast OTT content. The stick has been manufactured by Skyworth. It has a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core CPU with ARM Mali-450 as its GPU. It has 1 GB RAM with a storage of 8 GB. HiSilicon Hi3798M V300 is the SoC.

Airtel TV’s mobile app is also showing a big “X” watermark on the boxes showing channel names. The “X” in the watermark matches with the “X” in the registered logo of Airtel Xstream.
