BAG Films registers Rs 432.75 lakhs profit in Q1 FY 19-20. TV revenue up while FM radio and audio visual production decreased.

BAG Films yesterday announced its unaudited consolidated and standalone results for the quarter ending June 30, 2019.

BAG Films registered consolidated revenue of Rs 4,093 lakhs as against Rs 3,328 lakhs in the previous quarter. Total expenses stood at Rs 3,666 lakhs as compared to Rs 4,222 lakhs in the previous quarter. The company registered a net profit of Rs 432.57 lakhs as a net loss of Rs 905.17 lakhs in the previous quarter. Basic earning per share stood at Rs 0.22.

BAG Film’s television business revenue increased in the quarter. The revenues stood at Rs 3,577 lakhs as compared to Rs 2,687 lakhs in the previous quarter. Revenues from FM Radio business reduced as it stood at Rs 221.54 lakhs as against Rs 286.55 lakhs in the previous quarter. Leasing revenues were the same as the last quarter at Rs 16.30 lakhs. Audio and visual production revenues stood at Rs 223.57 lakhs as against Rs 257.28 lakhs.

The board of directors also reappointed Ms Anuradha Prakash Shukla as Chairperson and Managing Director of its company for a further period of 5 years with effect from April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2025. 

At the time of going to press BAG Films was trading at Rs 2.98 down by Rs 0.08 or 2.61% as against a previous close of Rs 3.06 on the BSE.
