Following Discovery Channels have been discontinued from Den Networks...

1. Discovery
2. Animal Planet
3. TLC
4. Investigation Discovery Kids
5. Discovery Turbo
6. Discovery Tamil
7. Discovery Science
8. Discovery HD World
9. TLC HD World
10. Animal Planet HD World.

Den & Local Cable Operators have decided to discontinue carrying these channels on their platform. An Advertisement has been released in leading newspaper, informing these channels have been removed from Den & other Local cable operators platform. Advertisement also informs their subscribers can ask for discount of upto Rs.111 from their service providers as these channels are removed from their platforms.

You are right that's why they are leader in :hd & also in SD channels. And add almost all important channels at launch day itself. While dishtv thinks very wisely so they think of themselfes only, don't care about CUSTOMERS DEMAND.
