4K STB vs HD STB Picture Quality?

At 2160p (4K) setting, 4K STB will display a softer picture on HD channels than in normal HD STB. However at 1080i or 1080p setting, HD PQ is at par with other HD STBs.

So i can consider buying 4K STB.Bro can you confirm whether 4K STB has 1080i @ 60Hz or 1080p @ 60Hz option ? Bcoz my tv is NTSC TV and it will support only 60Hz

As far as I remember it doesn't. But I will check again when I am back home this evening.

Thank you bro. So i will go with HD STB 1 year connection now.and once they launch 4K Channels i will take a call - May be i need to buy PAL to NTSC converter from amazon/ebay that time.

These are all Color systems.

India uses PAL system - Means 50Hz whereas USA uses NTSC @ 60Hz

My friend told me...yesterday 4k box update new software....pq increase...I m also 4k user but my 4k box deactivate mode......I think 4k box problem now solved..

Earlier 4k box not give good pq...after software update problem now solved....tata sky will launch new 4k channel on July 16.......I m using hd box right now with super lnb [emoji4]

Are you sure they are launching 4K channel on July 16 ? Which HD box u r using ? Can you confirm you have 1080i @ 60HZ under picture setting ?
