I'm getting 5.1 Dolby digital sound but not increase volume levels

yeah, I asked whether the volume case is just for DishTruHD or u tried any DVD/Blu Ray with Dolby Digital on ur HT also :shy

Also most of us here claim it's just 5.1 not Dolby Digital from DishTru HD :s

You cannot change the volume when you are in 5.1ch mode as this mode is pass-through ie, the audio signal is passed directly to the Digital Receiver which processes the digital signal and passes them to the proper channels.
So, to change the volume you have to use the Audio Receiver's remote control.

In short, it is not a problem, simply that's how it works.

can anyone tell whether there is a big difference with 5.1 surround sound and dolby digital sound as i believe dishtv does not provide dolby sound. is it still worth going for dishtv HD as the cost is less compared to other dth.

Could someone throw some light on this plz.
