MUMBAI: Paying tribute to legendary actor Shammi Kapoor on his first death anniversary, 9X Jalwa, touted as ‘timeless Bollywood music channel’ from the boutique of 9X Media, has initiated seven hours of special programming on 14 August.
The special programming includes hit songs from his movies and trivia on the actor, to be aired throughout the day. The channel has also planned three minute segments titled ‘Jalwa Remembers’, ‘Mini Recharge’ and ‘Kassette Kahaniyan’ that will share interesting anecdotes and facts about the actor.
A unique short format show ‘Timeless Story’, will feature a story on Kapoor’s hit film ‘Junglee’. Besides, the channel will air his evergreen hits on segments like ‘Blockbuster Beats’ (7-10am), ‘Dil Se’ (8-11pm) and ‘Jee Le Dobara’ (11pm-12am).
Having planned entire programming around the actor, the channel has also initiated special song packaging and promos that will promote the time slots revolving around Kapoor.
