Aaj Tak, Times Now lead TV news

When it comes to news, Indian viewers
have clear preferences. While the Hindi TV news
genre is dominated by Aaj Tak, Times Now is a
clear winner in the English general news space.

Aaj Tak is 1.5 times bigger in terms of
viewership from its nearest competitor, as per
the maiden BARC TV viewership data.

As per the data for the week ended 24 April, Aaj
Tak is leading the pack with 14,492 gross TVTs
(television viewership in thousands). ABP News
at second spot is with 9,480 GTVTs.

In the English TV news genre, Times Now has
clocked 355 GTVTs to claim the top spot.
BARC has released the data for household
audiences in 1 lakh+ C&S markets, corresponding
to a sample size of 10,760 households.
