Why SPN shutdowning their channels one by one?

To maintain a sustainable business model and have optimum utilisation of resources after merger by restructuring portfolio, they will invest in where returns r good or required like gec, hindi movies.

Let's see if BBC partnership continues with Sony or not else Sony BBC Earth will either b off air or have new partners

Unless Sony merges with Viacom, they will be shutting channels one by one. Only their sports, Hindi gec and Hindi movies will survive.

They r merging bhai hence closing chs where there is overlapping in genres and there is not much scope to perform or grow. I believe few Sports HD chs might shut down in coming months which will b both from sony and star

Will they reduce price of sony happy india english 12 rs brodcaster package? Bcoz last time after removing mix and espn they reduced their 31 rs package by 50 paise

Until unless broadcaster reduce their bouquet & Alacarte price these shutdown unavoidable not only for SPN for all broadcaster .. only FTA channels have bright future 🤷‍♂️

Biggest jolt is all these iconic established chs being shut down one by one across broadcasters, we all grew up on them. Zee Cafe might also face axe soon and And Flix most likely after its contract with Sony Pictures gets over
