it is not possible to stop people to watch channel until an unless the channel are not in the coverage of country and there are no official anouncement if it is applied on people who will follow how the goverment can know it just a foolish thing to do

i think actualy it is roumers on facebook pages because all dth have increase the price in india people and all people are not ready to pay high amount so sales of dth may down so they are taking advantage of situation to stop people to watch fta channel they want money nothing else and people dont want to pay high rates of paid channels

Indian Govt. is already not allowing anyone to expand footprints of their satellites or channels in india...
can anyone tell any one satellite that is broadcasting channels in india?

No Hotbird in india..
No Astra Satellite in India
Even Russian Satellites footprints are going far away from india
(you can receive a few international satellites with 10 foot or more big sized dishes.... but everyone general public can not afford to have such monster dishes on their roofs....)
NO INTERNATIONAL MEDIA IN INDIA..
Indian ppl have to watch only the news what their Govt. Likes...
this is the best Democratic state....

point is not the dish size or costly, point is watching the channel using any dish
you can check dreamdth c band and ku band updates , new channel and pictures where people from india from various states are recuving 2 feet ,4 feet , 6 feet only europen channels , russian channel etc they may very coverage that some parts are resiving some chanels and some are not .

and the person who want see international media can see buying dvds online now days people are not depedent on tv only day by day people craze of tv is down ane people are opting dvds bluray and see content without distraction they only watches tv for news only all the things we know what we want to see which is not shown in indian channels.
