BBC Worldwide has announced the launch of a new app – CBeebies On The Go, which will allow all preschoolers around the world to take a little bit of CBeebies on all their adventures.
Developed by Tag Apps to complement the international preschoolchannel, CBeebies On The Go is a brightly coloured world full of games and activities, and home to many of the characters from the channel like Charlie & Lola, 3rd & Bird, Numberjacks and Teletubbies.
The free app is available to download from the App Store, for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad in India, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and South Korea.
The app is wholly intuitive and with simple touch controls designed specifically for young fingers.
BBC Worldwide Channels director of CBeebies Investment Henrietta Hurford-Jones said, “CBeebies On The Go is a delightful accompaniment to the CBeebies channel. Kids all over the world share a natural curiosity and sense of fun, so the app is a wonderful way to make new discoveries with familiar friends."
On TV, CBeebies claims a reach of over 53 million homes outside the UK, through BBC Worldwide’s network of channels and branded programme blocks. Local schedules are available in seven key markets – India, the Nordic region, Poland, Africa, Australia, and Asia as well as the Latin American and US Hispanic market.
