This may be the first major Hindi news channel in a long time which is not owned by an existing news broadcaster. I have a feeling that this will be a major national news channel, and not one of the hundreds of carriage fee channels that are constantly added and removed by DTH operators. Bharat Express has some big names behind it and I think it should be taken seriously, despite its name being very similar to any of those tiny and insignificant channels.

India TV is the only other major Hindi news channel which is not owned by a big broadcaster.
