Presented by BIG Magic and 92.7 BIG FM, ‘BIG Bal Kalakaar’, touted as the first ever platform to acknowledge the singing prowess of talented young artists from the heartland, is all set to take off with its auditions across 14 cities in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

The first ever devotional singing reality TV show for children has also announced its jury members consisting of music director Jatin Pandit and Padma Bhushan classical singer duo Rajan-Sajan Mishra. Pandit Gulshan Bharti is the mentor for the budding children, while Prajakta Shukre (of ‘Indian Idol’ fame) will be the host for ‘BIG Bal Kalakaar’.

Commenting on this initiative, Anand Chakravarthy, EVP – Marketing, RBNL & Business Head, BIG Magic, said, “‘BIG Bal Kalakaar’ celebrates and acknowledges the devotional singing geniuses among little children of the region. This innovative talent hunt recognises the purity and innocence of young singers as well as propagates positive values to all children in the region through the medium of devotional singing.”

Meanwhile, the channel will be undertaking a marketing campaign along with the three judges of the show across UP, MP and Bihar.

Chakravarthy further informed, “Since this is our first big reality show, we would be promoting our show through BIG FM and BIG Magic. Along with that, we have targeted local print media, cable, SMS pushes and banners for advertising. We have spent around Rs 1.2 crore to get the maximum impact through the marketing and promotions.”

‘BIG Bal Kalakaar’ will give a chance to the children of the Hindi heartland to showcase their talent. The 14 audition centers include Bareilly, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Allahabad, Patna, Ranchi, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Bhopal, Indore, Agra, Mathura and Varanasi.
