MUMBAI: Keeping up with the festive spirit, Star Gold has announced the world television premiere of one of the most anticipated films of the year, ‘Mohenjo Daro’, on 9 October at 1 pm.
The film, featuring Hrithik Roshan and newcomer Pooja Hegde, is set in 2016 BC and highlights the Mohenjodaro civilisation. The historical romantic drama follows the story of a farmer Sarman (Roshan) who travels to the city of Mohenjo Daro and falls in love with Chaani (Hegde). However, their love has to stand up against a power-hungry city chief Maham (Kabir Bedi) and his brutal son and successor (Arunoday Singh). The story takes a dramatic turn as Sarman takes upon himself the task of not just winning the love of his life but also saving the civilisation against the city’s elite.
