Star's new strategy is to premiere less successful movies on Star Plus. Expect Panga on Star Plus too.

Tanhaji will be premiered on Star Gold (2) as it is much more successful.

Nowadays Star Plus is the only Hindi GEC premiering movies as Zee TV has stopped since August 2019 or so. Colors stopped after Andhadhun and Sony stopped after Dilwale in 2016.

Chhapaak being aired on Star Plus bcoz it is women oriented film and their GEC helps reach target audience in effective manner. Also they will get much better ratings on it thus in return decent ad revenue. Star Gold will air more mass entertainers to not let ratings fall
