Yes B.R. Chopra's Mahabharata was the best classic ever. I watched it on Rupasi Bangla probably 3 years ago.. Don't know much about Ramayana..

For me it's other way around. I know everything about Ramayana but nothing about Mahabharata.

My mom owns the DVD sets and also used to own the old VHS sets lol. She prefers those over the newer versions.

We had a dvd rental service. These were the only Indian TV series ever to be rented. We had like 3 box sets. People use to book it in advance. I am talking about Mahabharata not Ramayana.
