Breaking Classic shows re-telecasting on DD National and DD Bharti to entertain lockdown people during COVID-19 outbreak in India

Eager to watch it again. I still have fond memories of watching this Epic series during 1988-90. While we are talking about Janata curfew now a days, we used to experience it every Sunday those days between 9 and 10 am when the the Mahabharat was on Air in Doordarshan. Roads looked deserted, buses empty, people stayed at home avoiding all kinds of activities.

Timing of the show is odd how can we watch one episode at 9 am and the other at 9 pm. Air it one episode a day with one repeat. Most villagers who will enjoy this show will go to sleep by 7 pm.

It's weird that DD team had to go in war with Ramanand Sagar family to get the rights. If no one had the rights. Wouldn't they be happy to sell the rights at one phone call?

Meanwhile it's confirmed EPIC has the tv rights of Mahabharata. Maybe we can request them to re air the series.
