Colors has exclusively confirmed that it is
working on a huge new non-fiction format, which
will hit the channel later this year.
Talking exclusively to BizAsiaLive.com , Raj
Nayak, CEO of Colors said, “We have lots
planned. Starting next month, we have at least
three new fiction shows coming on air. We’ve
got ‘Naagin’ coming back and ‘Bigg Boss’
launching. Hopefully by the end of the year, we’ll
be launching a huge new format, which will be
something new from Colors.”
Asked to elaborate on the kind of format it
would be, Nayak said, “Some of the biggest
formats be it ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, ‘Khatron Ke
Khiladi’, ‘Bigg Boss’, ‘India’s Got Talent’, we’ve
had a routine of these non-fiction shows year-on-
year, so whilst its easy to build on a franchise,
there’s a certain feel of fatigue that also comes
in. It’s not easy to reinvent and revamp shows.
So we’ve done a little bit of juggling with our
FPC, which will result in TWO new formats
coming this year on Colors.
