ZEE TV is launching two new shows in August to spruce up its weekend offerings, BizAsia can confirm.
The first will be 60-minute comedy reality TV show tentatively titled ‘Comedy Show’ showcasing comedy through theatrical skits. Each team will consist of two members comprising of theatre actors, stand-up comedians and television faces in the presence of two prominent judges and a live audience. The show will also have Pakistani flavour to it, through introduction of powerful talent from Lahore and Karachi.
Incidentally, rival Star Life Ok has quite recently launched the new series of its laugh-out comedy show ‘Laugh India Laugh’.
‘Comedy Show’ will air Saturday and Sundays at 18:30.
Also, starting on the same night will be the launch of ‘Dance India Dance – Dance Ke Baap’ – season two of the “best of” the popular show. It will include the best performers from ‘Lil Masters’ seasons one and two competing against each other over a period of five weeks.
‘Dance India Dance – Dance Ke Baap’ will air Saturday and Sundays at 19:30.
