it mentions 1,299 rs with 12 months free hd content.

is it true ?

Those emails are qeued on server and sent to million of customers batch wise, so you may have got it late. We can't blame them in such case as happened with me too.

I got mail from ts saying upgrade to ts+hd (old dvr model) at 5k while it was discontinued already and new dvr upgrade cost was 7k+... So they denided...

There is an update for videocon d2h upgrade. ( updated on jul 9, 16)

There are 2 Options.

1. We can upgrade to hd box for free but we have to subscribe for platinum hd pack for 3 months. (Total cost will be 1950 Rs including 3 months platinum hd pack)

Or

2. We can upgrade to hd box with rs 450 and we have to subscribe platinum hd pack for 1 month. (Total cost will be 1100 rs includig one month platinum hd pack)
