Do any DTH provide daily packs for users who don't want to watch TV daily?
Something like a base monthly pack for 99 n an option to add sports pack for a day or English movies for a day n so on. (Just an hypothetical example)

Airtel Provides Daily Burn Rate add on packs

You can add for example sports pack at Rs. 3.3 per day and English Movies at Rs.2.5 per day

And even monthly pack is charged on DBR after first month if your monthly rental is say 300 it will be charged at Rs.10 per day.But minimum recharge amount is Rs.150.

Tata sky, many subcribers pay only for two days and leave it for next 5 days,as there are no late fee charges ,so go for lowest pack add your add on if it is not available in base pack and if monthly charges are Rs300 per month just recharge Rs20 and enjoy for two days. Or take DishTV 3 years non stop pack as it costs around Rs1.20 per day and add you Smallest pack of around Rs50 per month and enjoy Dish TV for Rs50 per month, for more details about non stop pack search about this Rs 1279 unique recharge plan in this elsewhere in dreamdth as it is discussed in details

They also have 8:00 Rs recharge for 1 day vaildity.

My understanding was, Airtel will take 1 month money in advance for any pack at first when we subscribe & goes into DBR mode after 1 month (I have not explicitly subscribed to packs which show daily rate till now I guess). We will be needing another connection soon & was thinking of going for an alternate provider mainly for this reason - pay as you view / use option. If it works with Airtel, then it would be the best for me.

Can you confirm if we can add & remove DBR priced packs using web portal/app in Airtel without contacting CustomerCare? if yes, can I subscribe, for example, "English Movies @2.5/day pack" (when I want to watch) & cancel it after a day or two (when I dont want to watch)?? Have to been doing this??

Yes. This is what I vaguely remember. They had some 1 day plans starting at Rs.8/- being announced 1-2 years ago, but could not find it now.

In our house (Airtel DTH), only the regional channels get watched all week long, for which just teh base pack is more than adequate. I still have a MaxHD pack included, which never gets used during the weekdays (and even on most weekends as I rarely watch tv). So, call me stingy or whatever, but I was wondering if I can reduce my cost further by subscribing to channel packs I want on daily basis :p

This thought was in my mind for weeks now & hence decided to ask & get it clarified from the experts today.
