DD Bharati is planning to celebrate Teacher’s Day with a new series, ‘Bharati Gurukul’, on Hindustani classical music. The show will launch on 5 September.
It will air at 9 pm every Saturday, with a repeat the next day at 1 pm.
‘Bharati Gurukul’ is touted to be a ‘giant’ initiative of DD Bharati as it endeavours to impart methodical education and training of Hindustani classical music, both vocal and instrumental.
The show has been conceived with a view to impart training in Hindustani classical music by the music maestros and stalwarts in their specialised field.
The systematic training of classical music in three main ragas is Bhairav, Yaman and Todi.
