DDF Exclusive Dd fd impact pay dth

This author might listen to it like a year ago when people were migrating from pay TV to FTA. But, now got time to write on it.
These websites hire someone who have 'zero' knowledge about this business. Although, yes DTH/Cable services are effected not because of DDFreeDish but govt policies where 153 is mandatory fee in all major DTH service.
So, even people living in town are migrating to broadband which gives them binge watch all content with Live broadcast of TV news channel.

DD Free Dish has no impact on pay TV channels.

1 dishtv introduce zing super fta.its impacts.
2 all big broadcasters channel star ustsav,rishtey,pal,anmol are remove because trp issue in star plus zeetv,colors....
3 dangal ,goldmain, music ,news channel top in trp chart ..

4 specialy started channel like fd users sports18 khel.
5 new ly launch channel food food,the q,sports18khel,navbharat are good trp
6 aastha,vedic, bhajan,sanskar are pay per channel 15cr plus bid amount .

I still believe DD Free Dish is NOT posing threat to Pay TV channels specially HD channels. Pay TV channels are getting problem from online streaming medias like NetFlix, Disney, HotStar, HBO type things. New generations are moving away from traditional TV system to these new technologies. Even in recent time we have seen a sharp increase in viewership of online streaming applications for cricket matches

In South India, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, viewers prefer daily soaps. Star Maa and Zee Telugu are very popular in the State. People here do not mind sparing a few bucks to get these paid channels. That is the reason why one can find dish antennae and cable connections even in slum areas. While women folk are addicted to the daily soaps, men prefer news channels like TV9, ETV and ABN Andhra Jyothi etc which are free to air. Youth prefer sports and movie channels. DDFD cannot and will not offer these prefered channels in their platform in South India.

If there is any threat to DTH business in South, it is from OTT platforms and not from DDFD. Now a days most of the middle class families are also shifting to OTT platforms.

This is hilarious. Apart from Sports in SD. What else they got? Even most important International FTA channels aren't available on the platform.

Buddy for large number of viewers it provides them sufficient entertainment options that too free of cost. Remember there is vast section of people from economically weaker sections who do not have budget to spend Rs. 300 or 400 pwr month for basic TV viewing.

About international channels being unavailable on DD Free Dish, it is bcoz DD Free Dish does not serve the target demographic of these channels. If Indian government signs some agreement with a foreign government which includes sharing or transmission of their public service broadcaster channel on DD Free Dish then such channels are visible on the platform else there is little chance that these broadcasters will bid for slot on Free Dish
