Doordarshan has said that it will hold 23rd e-auction on 19 October for vacant slots on its direct to home (DTH) free service DD Freedish.
The pubcaster has set a reserve price of Rs 3.7 crore (Rs 37 million) per slot for the e-auctions. The e-auction will be conducted by Noida based C1 India on behalf of Prasar Bharati.
The participation amount (EMD) for the e-auction is Rs 1.50 crore (Rs 15 million) which is to be deposited in advance on or before 19 October latest by 12 pm along with a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 10,000 in favour of PB (BCI) Doordarshan Commercial Service, New Delhi.
The applicants must provide their uplink/downlink permission documents received from the ministries concerned. The demand drafts of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately or within a week after the completion of the e-auction process.
In the 22nd e-auction, the pubcaster had sold eight channels of which six channels (IBN7, Aastha, Aastha Bhajan, News Nation, Bhojpuri Cinema, and Dangal) were old and two channels (Sanskaar and Wow Cinema) were new.
