yeah.. there are already seperate channels for NE States. Only DD Assam was missing.

Name was not usually in state wise bro. It's was in where studios are based. That's why DD Nagaland was DD Nagaland as studios were based in both Kohima and Dimapur but I think I saw DD Kohima in Golaghat as we got DD Kohima instead of DD Guwahati on terrestrial network. Meanwhile DD Mizoram was DD Agartala as it was based from Agartala.

Assam : DD Assam (Formerly DD North East)

Meghalaya : DD Meghalaya (Formerly DD Shillong)

Nagaland : DD Nagaland

Arunachal Pradesh : DD Arunprabha (Formerly DD Itanagar)

Manipur : DD Manipur (Formerly DD Imphal)

Mizoram : DD Mizoram

Sikkim : DD Sikkim (Formerly DD Gangtok)

Tripura : DD Tripura (Formerly DD Agartala)

Note : Guwahati is not the capital of Assam. Dispur is.

I think DD North East shut down and was replaced with DD Guwahati which itself is now rebranded to DD Assam.

But DD Panaji is still DD Panaji. Although the EPG displays it as DD Goa.

Maybe they should rename DD Panaji as DD Goa or DD Sonsogor

Manipur : DD Manipur (Formerly DD Imphal)

IIRC, DD Imphal and DD Manipur are different. DD Imphal was on ADTV (removed) and DD Manipur is on Tata Sky.

For some reason, Manipur has 2 channels: DD Manipur (available on TS, LCN 1997) and DD Imphal (Airtel, LCN 648).
