DEN Networks partners Disney’s Indiagames to launch pay gaming service

Multi-system operator (MSO) DEN Networks has partnered Disney India’s gaming arm Indiagames to launch a subscription-based gaming service.

DEN’s ‘Fun Games’ will offer a range of games from the catalogue of Indiagames-branded titles.

On offer there will be three games for subscribers. The games will be refreshed regularly for players to acquire new skills.

The games include ‘Egg Jump’, ‘Mailbox’ and ‘Tower of Hanoi’ and are available for a monthly subscription of Rs 45 and quarterly fee of Rs 90.

Speaking about the gaming platform, DEN Networks CEO SN Sharma said, “We are thrilled with this unique association with Disney India to launch exciting games for kids under the name of DEN Fun Games.

At DEN we always believe to give the best value for money to our subscribers by using the most advanced technology to enhance the viewing experience.”

The association will enable Disney India to popularise its gaming content among DEN’s subscribers.

Disney India VP and head of interactive Sameer Ganapathy said, “Making our content available where and when our consumers want is at the core of whatever we do at Disney India.

Today, MSOs reach out to major population in India and by collaborating with DEN Networks, we are able to engage and popularise our gaming content among them.”

Disney India’s interactive team has created popular products including the bestselling ‘Cricket Fever’ game franchise (over 20 million downloads), the official game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 titled ‘ICC Pro Cricket 2015’ (over 1.5 million downloads), ‘ABCD 2: The Game’ (over 1 million downloads) and ‘Arjun: The Prince of Bali’ ( over 0.75 million downloads).

The business also provides an interactive gaming experience across television screens through various DTH operators.

Leading gaming companies like Electronic Sports work closely with Disney India to distribute their content to Indian consumers.
