Dish Flix is a Push Vod service from the house of DishTV that will enable users to watch a variety of Indian and International movies on their DVR enabled set-top boxes.
•There will be 50 pre-loaded movies in the hard disk. These movies will be divided into batches, each batch consisting of 10 movies.
•Each batch will have a expiry date , one in every month
•Simultaneously, new movies will be pushed to the Flix Box at the rate of one every 2 days.
•The user will have no control over the Dish Flix data on the hard-drive.
The talking points will be as follows:
•50 pre-loaded movie library with Hollywood and Bollywood titles.
•No broadband required.
•Movie at your time, any number of times. Your very own “me-time”.
•1 new movie every 2 days.
•Ad-free, uninterrupted experience.
•Just Plug and Play.
•The content will be pushed to the customer’s STB through satellite and will be stored in a dedicated space on the customer’s Flix Box(Hard Disk).No internet connection required for this feature.
•Available only to Dish+ and Dish Tru HD subs ( For SD subs, free upgrade will be done)
•Subs have to purchase the Flix Box from DishTV.
•New downloads will happen when the box is kept in Standby mode.
Pricing Structure
•The Flix Box will be sold to the customer at the price ofRs 5990/- & Customer will be charge a monthly subscription (for Flix studio ala-carte) fee of Rs.100 to avail this service.
Lock in Policy - Understanding Lock-in Policy
•Compulsory subscriptions to Flix Studio pack (Rs.100 per month) with a lock in period of 6 months from the date of activation.
•The monthly subscription charge of Rs. 100 will automatically be debited from the customer’s account on a daily decrement basis.
•The customer can opt out of the DishFlix service post 6 months from the date of activation.
•If the customer decides to opt in again for the service, there will be again a lock in period of 6 months.
•The lock in period of 6 months will be counted as 180 days (irrespective of active or deactivate status in between).
Product Specifications - Hard Disk
ØThe hard disk will be having a 700GB partition specifically for the Push VOD feature and the remaining will be for customer’s personal recording.
ØThe Dish Flix hard drive should never be formatted by the customer on PC. If the hard drive is formatted then he will not able to use the Dish Flix feature anymore on the hard drive.
Dish flix Service Visit – Post Sales
•Warranty for DishFlix Flix Box will beone yearfrom the date of installation.
•In warranty Service Visit arefreebut out of warranty service visit will cost customerRs. 200.
•TAT for closure of Flix installation/service call will be24hours in D42 cities (same as for existing process).10 Daysfor non D42 Cities.
•Swap process– In case of customer complaint for faulty hard drive the service person will replace the hard drive with new Flix Box preloaded with 50 movies. The customer will be communicated that all existing content on the previous hard disk will not be available.
•In case setup box isIncompatiblewith DishFlix, request for DishTV STB replacement will be generated & Service guy will go with both DishTV & DishFlix and replace Existing STB with New one without any cost.
•In caseVC incompatiblerequest for DishFlix will be taken and service will replace VC of the customer after that installation process for DishFlix will follow.
•Swap charges for customer both in warranty and out of warranty will be as follows

DishFlix service is available only in Select cities onlybut if a customer calls from outside these cities and is interested to buy Dish Flix , then the lead will be captured and customer will be informed on the delivery time line of 1 week. ( TAT increased from 24 hours to 1 week )
