DTH updates Dish tv registers Profit in Q1

According to news article on Telugu newspaper, Dish TV has registered profit of 28 crores in first quarter of 2018 compared to loss of 12 crores in same quarter last year.
Revenue increased from 740 crores to 1656 crores when compared to Q1 of last year.
Average revenue per customer has increased from ₹201 to ₹214.

This was bound to happen pack price increase without much addition ,mera apna pack channels price increase to rs.15 and rs.25.
While the profit has increased the customer satisfaction has taken back seat.

Direct to home (DTH) Dish TV’s subscription revenue jumped 8.1% to Rs 1489.3 crore for the quarter ended 30 June as against Rs 1377.1 crore in the trailing quarter driven by an uptick in subscriber additions to due to a heavy sports calendar.

Subscriber additions picked up speed during the first quarter with net additions of 301,000 subscribers due to a sports heavy programming calendar. 44% of all subscriber additions were High Definition (HD).
