For Primary Connection
  • ₹ 130 + Taxes (₹ 153.40 incl. Taxes) per month for the first 200 channels.
  • Upto ₹ 160 + Taxes (₹ 188.80 incl. Taxes) per month for channels greater than 200.
For Secondary/ Multitv connection
  • NCF of Rs. 50 + tax will be applicable - Flat NCF
  • Maximum 3 Multi tv connections are allowed with 1 Primary connection

Dish d2h not charging for extra slab on 2ndary connection while airtel is, by the way does new tariff order allow to take Rs. 30 + tax while taking above 200 chs on 2nd box? I was thinking Rs. 61 is max limit. Rs. 210 is more than enough ARPU directly going to DPO/MSO

Also TRAI should bring in more flexible slabs , more like Rs. 50, 100 (primary) or Rs. 25 (secondary) for subscribers, regarding revene shortfall i think carriage fee chs will compensate well and above for it and not all subscribers will take few chs

Has dishtv 200 fta channels
200 channels for NCF includes pay+free. also note, rule is for UPTO 200 channels.

for multi TV NCF. 40% of primary STB.
160x40%=64₹+GST. for above 200 channels

Well i know initial slab max price limit for 2nd connection is Rs. 61 but additional slab charges allowed was sure a surprise. Also this time airtel is charging max Rs. 30 + tax for this slab , others fixed it less

This is wrong. Max it can be 75 only, not any slab.
May be sm1 trying to play smart with airtel.
If u keep primary stb at under 200 and secondary stb at more than 200 channel. Then Airtel will consider second stb as primary and charge u 30 rs extra. I think this is the case..

Well they cannot apply rules for primary on secondary connection, if airtel is charging Rs. 30 for additional slab incase of 2nd box then surely it must be permitted. Tata Sky, dish d2h chose to have lower price as per their own discretion. Even in NTO 1.0, airtel users were free to take as many chs and secondary connection ncf rates rates remained less irrespective of ones active on primary. Well maybe airtel is in need of more money bcoz of AGR ruling, also now to take on Jio in TV space too more investment will b required as dish d2h deal collapased
