Just read an article on LiveMint.. “Videocon-Dish TV merger may get affected by insolvency case against Videocon Industries”

Seems like merger may get further delayed for two more months.
Two more month ah :hehe::hehe::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
 
Iam ready to wait,it seems (jealous) after merger these both get big advantage, big turn over etc not a big deal will sorted out soon,need to worry guys,b positive:blush::blush:waited for 1 year,another few months, not a big deal,still not known whether it may or may not effect on channel addition so b positive guys like Anil kappor

In its latest stock exchange filing on Thursday, Dish TV said, “It has come to our knowledge that certain entities belonging to the Videocon group, including the promoters of Videocon d2h Ltd, have become subject to insolvency and/or enforcement proceedings by lenders. In light of the foregoing, the company is evaluating if there is any impact of the same on its rights and obligations under the definitive agreeme."

Dish TV evaluating impact of insolvency proceedings against Videocon cos on DTH merger deal

  • Direct to home (DTH) operator Dish TV has said that it is evaluating whether insolvency proceedings against promoters of Videocon Group will have an impact on its rights and obligations under its agreement with Videocon d2h.
  • The Dhoot family is the main promoter of Videocon Group and Videocon d2h. Videocon Group, which has interests in many businesses, has been reeling under a debt of Rs 29,000 crore.
  • According to a recent report, the Stata Bank of India will start insolvency proceedings against 12 firms including Videocon Industries and Video Telecom, which has become defunct after its closed operations and sold spectrum to Bharti Airtel.
  • Dish TV, which is merging its operations with Videocon d2h, has asked the advisors to the transaction to evaluate the position and advise the company with its findings within a period of 60 days.
  • Earlier, the DTH operator had told the BSE on 22 December that the effective date of the amalgamation scheme, the filing of the relevant intimation / E-Forms with the Registrar of Companies, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Maharashtra, Mumbai, would be getting delayed beyond 27 December 2017.
