Seeking Help Does airtel dvr work with splitter

Guys i have airtel dvr and can only pass one coaxial cable. But dvr uses two cablr. So is it possible that 2way coaxial splitter can be used to make dvr work

Also which one is better using splitter or directly making joint of wires to split into two. Which qill cause lesser loss of signal

If you want to watch one channel while recording another, you will need two separate cables from the dish antenna LNB to the box. Splitter will not work in that case. Also, it is not recommended to connect cables by simply twisting them together.
