Some people prefer dts is better.
Dolby digital preferred by most of the content makers for the low bit rate to reduce file size.
While there are technical differences, the sound output is pretty much the same.
Dolby and DTS have nothing - absolutely nothing - to do with how a soundtrack is mixed. Its sole purpose is data compression to save space, much like zipping up a data file to make it smaller.
One thing I noticed is that DTS generally plays louder so I don't need the same volume level as with Dolby.
