So we are planning to switch into a new and modern forum software dumping our current decade old software which is not receiving any major updates lately and almost dead in features development.

Hopefully you won't be disappointed by seeing the new software: Check out the DreamDTH Test Forum

All user data has been imported into that test website so that you can check how things would be. There are many other options which are in disabled mode currently. Once we receive feedback from user and make the final move of our live website, we will make it even better.

There were some discussions earlier regarding this but later we had discarded the idea, but now its improved even more so we are reconsidering our decision. What's more: There would be a major upgrade to the software which can bring noticeably improvements to performance of our website too.

Quoting the linked thread features info to highlight a little bit information regarding the new software:

Some main features are:

Alerts System - Same as notifications system in various websites seen these days
Recent Activity Stream - See what other members doing
User Mention system - Tag members and they will receive alerts
Conversation System - An alternative and advanced private communication system
More Profile Options - Tabbed view and better organized user profiles
Enhanced Privacy System - Can allow/hide part of profile fields or completely hide profiles so others can't see it
More Advanced Editor with mobile and tablet support
Responsive Theme - Same theme for mobile and web (width will be adjusted as per screen size)
Social Registration and Login System - Facebook/Twitter/Google Integration
Simpler yet useful interface everyone can easily navigate and use

Note: Some features of current software may not be ported which are not supported, nor the less we will get better features.

Its totally different thing bro, its a brand new platform. Browser problem will solve without any changes too once DNS is propagated at your end.
