Each have it's own merits and de merits.

Select one suits your requirements.

cable cant give constant transmission thorough out year

it will also have some downtime.

DTH can also offer 1000 channel consider case of dish tv transmitting through 3 satellite and 4th one is ready

DirecTv broadcast 3000 channels. So DTH operator can provide as many channels as they want. There is no technical restrictions.

In my area cable transmission stop if there is a power cut but there is no such issue with DTH as long as your home runs on backup power.

only due to govt restriction dth ops are'nt able to broadcast more channels ... but they have the capacity to broadcast more than 1000 channels ... :tup

In Kerala in many areas digital cable stop during power cut.Also during raining season with lightning cable will not be available for 10-36 hours many times due to time for changing lightning damaged signal amplifiers.

Also the signal producing end turn off signal from 11:30 pm to 5:30 am every day for giving rest to their equipments.

This is ridiculous rest to digital cable equipments...
