Hlo guys, what is the channel lock in period for DTH Platforms (a-la-carate)

U can't remove or get refund of the channel within the period of subscription...

In Airtel & Tatasky lock-in period is 1 day. Technically it's "zero" day. SunDirect recently changed their lock-in period from 30 days to 1 day.

In tatasky there's no lock in period for channels. You can unsubscribe channels whenever you want. If you remove the channel same day you will get refund.

Tata Sky and Airtel are playing a dangerous game again. They have their monthly revenue assured while they are not paying anything to broadcasters since they can show that nobody subscribed to your channels even for a day. This in turn will make channels like Star increase their rates for sports channels in the future. This is unethical from TS and Airtel. Lots of cases waiting to happen. Star has invested thousands of crores in cricket. Monthly revenue should be assured for them too. They can't make money only off of match days all the time.

Sun has also joined the party. Most people are unaware about it. Even if they do they are ethical. This is better as most users would have moved to OTT if it wasn't for 0 lock in period. Although I still recommend increasing the lock-in period to 1 day as same as lock-in period of most service channel.
