Hello folks,

I'm new here. I am thinking of going for a new TS connection but can't make up my mind whether to go for an HD STB or 4k STB. There aren't any (or very few) 4k channels but what's the effect of a 4k STB on HD audio and video? I currently have a Videocon d2h and it drastically reduces audio quality compared to a Fire TV (not an equal comparison I know as the source is different, but I can hardly hear anything on the cable whereas on a FireTV I keep volume at 10%). I didn't find any recent discussions on this topic.

Welcome to DDF @Ajol bro :clap :clap :luv :luv:hs:hs

Bro,i think there's no difference pq & aq in hd stb & 4k stb,

In 4k stb,1080i & 1080p only pq is good,if select the 4k settings (3840 x 2160) means pq reduced or showing black & white screen,my suggestions go for hd/transfer stb,btw transfer stb also support (1080p & 1080i)
If u want recording features means go for tatasky + transfer stb, don't want recording features choose the hd stb :k
