Zee TV’s other shows, ‘Qubool Hai’, ‘Satrangi Sasural’, and ‘Doli Armanon Ki’ also saw increase in viewership and the channel added 40 GRPs (gross rating points). Star Plus gained 28 GRPs on the back of a strong fiction line-up.

Six of its properties rated among the top 10 fiction shows of the week as it stayed as the No. 1 Hindi GEC. Colors, the second ranked Hindi GEC, incurred a drop of 25 GRPs as its entire fiction line-up, excluding ‘Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi’, saw a drop in average viewership.

At the third place was Life OK with a gain of 11 GRPs. The channel’s newest show, ‘Piya Rangrezz’ (Monday–Friday, 9 pm), launched in the week, opened with 2.3 TVRs.

It ended the week with an average of 1.6 TVRs. Different versions of its crime show ‘Savdhaan India’ continued to be among the week’s top non-fiction shows. SAB, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and &TV witnessed a drop in their viewership.

This is how the different channels in the genre were stacked up. Reach Life OK continued to have the maximum reach (72%), followed by Colors (71%), Zee TV (71%), Star Plus (70%), SET (62%), SAB (53%) and &TV (46%).

Time spent per viewer Star Plus had a TSV of 222 minutes, followed by Colors with 176 minutes, Life OK with 156 minutes, Zee TV with 148 minutes, SAB at 133 minutes, SET at 107 minutes and &TV at 64 minutes. Meanwhile, uncertainty over whether BARC would release the TV viewership data on Wednesday prevailed in the morning.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) had asked BARC to refrain from releasing the data till it gets registered with the ministry. Talks continued with the MIB officials. Then BARC CEO Partho Dasgupta tweeted that the data would be released by 3 pm
