Festive fervour continues on Hindi movie channels this week

MUMBAI: After a heavy dose of the new and the popular, Hindi movie channels are continuing with the festive fervour offering with a mix of action, drama and comedy movies. While the morning slot mainly features action and romantic films, the afternoon and evening slots have been reserved mainly for comedy. The prime time show is a mix of love and family drama movies.

Star Gold is commencing the day with films like ‘Kaal’, ‘Hum Aapke Dil Main Rehte Hai’, ‘Pyaar Deewana Hota Hai’, ‘International Khiladi’ and ‘Vaah Life Ho to Aisi’ in its 9 am slot from 6 to 10 November. Movies like ‘De Dana Dan’ and ‘Heyy Baby’ in the afternoon slot will comprise its comic dosage on 7 and 8 November along with ‘Qayamat’ and ‘Deewar’ on 9 and 10 November. Evenings, on the other hand, will be marked by ‘Shaadi No 1′, ‘Rascals’, ‘Duplicate’ and more throughout the week. Prime time airings include movies like ‘Garv’ along with other dubbed feature films.

Zee Cinema is offering ‘Dalal’, ‘Khalnayak’ and ‘Fool N Final’ in the mornings and ‘Run’, ‘Agent Vinod’ and ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’ lightening up the mid-mornings. The channel will air viewer’s favourite films like ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, ‘Players’ and ‘No Problem’ during the afternoons and evenings in the week.

Ending the week with some newer content, the prime time band on the channel is reserved for specials like ‘Commando: One Man Army’ and ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ on 9 and 10 November respectively.

Zee Cinema’s sister channel &pictures will freshen up mornings with movies like ‘U’, ‘Me Aur Hum’, ‘Fashion’, ‘Heroine’ and ‘All the Best’. The channel will also premiere the movie ‘Jayantabhai ki Love Story’ on 9 November at 9 pm, with a repeat on 10 November at 12 pm.

Max has an interesting line-up offering romance on 6 November with ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ at 10:30 am, ‘Pyaar Ka Devta’ at 1 pm and ‘Love ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’ at 3:30 pm. The romance continues on 7 and 8 November with ‘Ishaqzaade’ at 10:30 am and ‘Jab Tak hai Jaan’ at 3:30 pm respectively. Max will offer a mix of comedy, horror and romance on 9 and 10 November with films like ‘Kya Super Kool Hai Hum’, ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ and ‘Godzilla’ (9 Nov), and ‘Krrish’, ‘Robot’ and ‘Aashiqui 2′ (10 Nov).

Movies OK will showcase films like ‘Gumrah’ and ‘Sadak’ in its morning slot, with mid-morning (11 am) featuring ‘Gharwali Baharwali’, ‘Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya’, ‘Hello Brother’, ‘Dabanng’ and ‘Thank You’ during the week. ‘Maine Dil Tujhko Diya’, ‘Ghayal’ and ‘I Hate Love Stories’ will add a punch to the afternoon band, with ‘Gangajal’, ‘Soldier’ and ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ dominating the primetime and late night slot.
