‘Sasural Simar Ka’ is all set to go off the air! Yes, you read that right, the show started five years ago and completed 1600 episodes to date. The news came as a shock to all fans and according to the reports in a leading entertainment portal, India forums, the show is all set to go off the air in the next two months. It seems as if the TRP of the show has gone down which forced the makers of the show to take a firm decision.
The show started with the tale of two sisters who married in the same Bharadwaj house but later on turned into a major disaster which actually ruined its popularity. The makers of the show tried their level best to attract some attention but failed badly. The makers of the show left no stones unturned and intorduced a supernatural plot in the show wherein they showed the protagonist turning into a fly.
Several actors and actress from the show also bid adieu to the show as they did not want to play older roles in the serial. We further heard that the channel is going to launch a new show Bigg Boss which would replace Dipika Kakar’s show! ”It is the right time for us to have a logical end to the story. The 20-year leap, which was recently effected, has not worked in our favour. The TRPs have also not been too impressive since long, so the decision has been taken to end it,” an insider from the show told Mid-Day.
Even the slot of the show was moved from primetime 7.30 pm to 6 pm which can be one of the reason for the show to shut down.
