General Discussion about Airtel Digital TV- For any Help & Issues

It is not in loss but yes YoY subscriber growth has seen a marginal fall owning to massive drop in subscribers in Q4 2022. Losing over half a million subscribers in one quarter is huge loss. In FY2021 there were good subscriber addition for 3 quarters but 1,56,000 subscribers were lost in Q4, comparing it to FY22 the additions have been in moderate range but erosion in subscriber base in Q4 is huge thus nullyfing net addition in this year to negative. Airtel should have come out with a report / analysis on this trend with detailed information and factors leading to it plus what changes they r planning to bringing to counter it in near future

Anyways eager to see how other operators have fared in this quarter, usually all operators lose subscribers in this period of the financial year.

Also what could b the reason for this

- Mass customers shifting to DD Free Dish
- OTT platforms gaining prominence among urban, semi urban or even somewhat in rural belts. YouTube as a platform has also become favourite medium to consume content among youth as well as older audience. OTT bundle packs available with mobile, broadband, dth etc. is also a major reason for increase in uptake of OTT

- Chord cutting might also happen bcoz of financial issues thus making people reset priorities for household budget. DD Free Dish subscriber base increase might b bcoz of this. Also as offices have opened people's TV time must have reduced and OTT would have gained more significance.
