AXN rebranding/revamping in near future? FB page not getting updated since May 1

Star Sports First, Marvel HQ, Fox Life, Bindass, Star World Premiere HD, Star Utsav Movies, some regional sports chs... All expected to shut or revamp soon... Baby TV is a mystery it is on air but no operator has it. ESPN won't comeback as it must be under non competition clause which comes into play for certain period post exit with former partner, A&E Network integration with Star/Disney again will take time

I do feel Star India now got too many channels, more than required and managed.
They should right size the no: of channels and concentrate on quality.

Possible that AXN will b closed and English shows will b restricted to Sony Liv. Anyways this is future route for others too unless they try to tap unexplored audience and manage SD, HD feeds with differentiated content... SD for unexplored audience featuring old shows, some new ones and HD featuring latest content with niche offering like int lang content

In that case having an English movie channel wouldn't make sense for them either. They could exit English entertainment sector completely.

Most subscribers do not want to pay more for TV chs and ads alone cannot generate enough revenue to sustain english gec with max latest content hence we cannot compare german AXN with Indian Variant.

Also as restructuring it makes perfect sense, closing unnecessary chs and better using resources, Colors Infinity will fill in well. Shutting Sony Mix was however wrong, should hv made it like 9X Jalwa. Still believe Sony will launch new chs in Hindi Movies genre, HD and SD. Maybe a new eng movie ch will also come as a joint venture b/w Sony, Viacom18, Turner. There r enough new avenues but nothing will happen till covid threat is over

Wait! AXN which top BARC's ratings last week is suppose to shut down. It has shows like Survivor on air which isn't available on OTT.

Time to subscribe Star Sports Select 1 HD and 2 HD again

If Star had little bit of dignity and shame. They would have aired live sporting event like Bundesliga in all the sports channels over cricket highlights of past decades.
