Wanted to ask two questions, please clarify:

1. is TataSky the No 1 DTH in India with maximum subscribers? If it is true, why are channels like &ExplorHD, Vijay Music exclusive to Airtel and not TataSky ?

2. I'm seeing a new channel in my TataSky mobile app - Channel No 803 - Pet & Pal.. Why is it not available in TataSky STB and available only in App ?

1. I don't know about Vijay Music situation. But &Xplore is fault of Zee. They are not distributing it properly. It's not available even available on it's own DTH service Dish TV and D2h. It is only available on Airtel and handful of cable operators.

2. These are digital exclusive channel not a special service or a satellite channel.

HD channel in tata sky., .Airtel & sun direct had this channel. We r waiting for a long time...tatasky is the leader in dth industry..very funny..

No one is leader in DTH industry. Everybody has their own flaws. Sun is affordable. Airtel has some exclusive channels. Tata Sky has excellent service and most number of HD channels. DD Free Dish is free. While Dish and D2h also exist as DTH operators in the market.

Yes it holds 1st position in terms of subscribers since quite a while now. Other points are already explained by DJ bro, this is recent data from TRAI which shows it has 5.58% lead compared to Dish TV which is 2nd in position:

Delayed currently Tatasky compressing all its channels on Tps around 400+ channels already got compressed . After completion we can expect new addition . Starting Jan this process started in phases to create space among Tps.

Can you confirm if compression work is completed as Republic Bangla and Ishara TV were added? Waiting for DD India HD for months.

Both above Channels were added on Replacement slots. Ishara on HBO HD slot & R Bangla on Sahara Samay MP slot. Still some channels compression pending .
