Actually starvijay initially known as vijaytv,when starindia acquire vijay tv it is renamed as starvijay on april14,2000...suntv only celebrate apr14 as birthday,star channels never celebrate particular day as their birthday...so this thread is not a wrong thread,you domt know correct info...

Is this correct? I remember, STAR acquired Vijay TV in 2001 and official broadcasting under the name of Star Vijay was started from October 2nd 2001. Can anyone try to confirm and get source for this... I searched the internet but unable to find exact source.

For now, I got the below source only. This news was published in Aug 2001.

Looks like it was started in August 2001 only; as wrong info given by thread starter today is not star vijay launch.
