DDF Exclusive Hathway declares its Network Capacity Fee as per new TRAI Guidelines

Hathway has published the Network Capacity Fee it will charge to its subscribers from 29th Dec.

a) Rs. 130 (excluding tax) per Set Top Box per month for network capacity upto one hundred Standard definition (SD) Channel.
b) Rs. 20 (excluding tax) per month per STB in the slabs of 25 SD channels beyond initial one hundred SD channels capacity.

I think all major MSO's will follow the same.
 
I think it is totally unviable for cable busines as Rs130 profit is a good amount for DTH business but for cable main distributor and local cable operators to get profit out of this money and their maintenances are high like day to day cable cut repairs salary for house to house collection boys this small profit makes it unviable in long run.Slowly small cable operators will close down Thier shop,may be some having more than 10000 customers only will survive
