MUMBAI: When Keertan Adyanthaya sat down with his team
to plan for 2014, there were a few things he had in mind.

Prime among them was to broaden the content play for flagship channel NGC and own the 9 pm slot.

Other key initiatives were to further localisation, introduce a sub-genre of content, re-launch Fox Traveller as Fox Life and drive in revenue gains from digitisation.

TelevisionPost.com looks at how as managing director Adyanthaya shaped the destiny of NGC Networks and Fox International Channels in India this year.

Widening the TG and paving the way for Smart TV as a genre Like its peers in the infotainment and lifestyle genres, NGC Networks India focused on widening the plate of its content offering.

One way of doing this was giving a stronger focus on the key 9 pm slot on NGC. Adyanthaya agreed that a challenge this year was to
broaden the viewership of the flagship channel NGC by focusing on smart TV.
