Seeking Help How to bypass cold?

3 days ago I spent the night at my friends. He can't sleep without AC. And I can't sleep alone. Cutting long story short I slept with AC on throughout a cold night. Now my neck is burning. I am throwing up constantly because of coughing. I can't sit through 5 minutes without coughing. I am taking all the precautions. I have being taking cough syrup along with along with fluids as recommended by Web MD. Situation is not improving. Can anyone tell me any alternative method to bypass this awful cold?

PS I don't have fever but cold with sore throat.
