And location system, periodic verification will also increase cost. Why every single user face problems due to just some smugglers? Instead of doing this, Increase security of Border control and check electronic items properly, problem solved.

Aren't our mobile phones location based ??? Do we face any problems with it. ISP always have our location.

I see many people keeping GPS on on their phones in background, many unknown apps take GPS data. But I see no one complain.

Off topic : I think mobile phones should also come with KYC basis as it gets stolen so often.

This will reversely affect the industry. Inter-operability of set-top boxes are still in the incubator and again pushing more changes which will kill the industry.
