Discussion Importance of Indian languages in Dubbing Disney Movies/Series

Excuse #1 - Disney doesn't dub and air Bhojpuri movies in Hindi because they can't monetise. They understand the market.

How did they knew without a single release that this market is not profitable?

Excuse #2 - There are alternatives like Chaupal and Hoichoi for Bhojpuri and Bengali content.

Meanwhile South has got much bigger platforns like SunNXT, Aha, Aha Telugu , Manoram Max, etc.

Point is they don't look past some selective market.

All of them.

This is not possible and anyways content is dubbed if broadcasters or producers feel that it can work in other regions or has some special in it. If bhojpuri cinema or television produces such content then i m sure will it will b picked for dubbing

What made them think Telugu movie would've worked?

These r not excuses bhai but plain facts.

Answer to the 1st part of ur post is that companies conduct market research / surveys for various regional markets at various points of time to know if there is some scope to grow its business there and this includes knowing what people like watching, if it is made available or not and incase there is some shortcoming then can they fill the space in a way that it is financially viable move

Answer to ur 2nd point is in ur reply itself. All the OTT platforms u mentioned r primarily catering to respective regional audiences hence they acquire lot of such content so u can subscribe to them rather than hoping to see all content on major national OTT platforms.

Infact zee5, disney+hotstar, sony luv, voot also produce regional web series too, u can watch and review them on OnlyTech forum ;)

How many shows Star Plus took from from Star Jalsha? How many Bengali web originals Hotstar produced till date? 😉

When it comes to taking content you take it from Bengali market. But you don't invest in one Bengali web original content.

Now it is another matter happened now 😔.

Disney and Pixar 's ELEMENTAL also dubbed only in English and Hindi 🤦🤦

I dunno What's the Actual problem within Walt Disney Studios India Company??!!
