Sony Entertainment Television has confirmed that the ninth season of hit singing show ‘Indian Idol’ will be returning to the roots of the show with the original three judges being roped in.

Anu Malik, Sonu Nigam and Farah Khan will form this season’s judges line-up and without a script.

Khan was cited in Times Of India saying, “We have retained the same format, the judges are the original trio which was the most popular so far. Only the participating singers will be new. It will bring back lot of nostalgia from the first season in 2004. We do not get any script. We do what we want to do. It is completely unscripted and spontaneous.”

Indian Idol 9 Grand Finale: L V Revanth wins the musical reality show! KhudaBaksh and Rohit get the first and second runner up trophies!

Baahubali singer L V Revanth won the show and the fans are going crazy with it! Revanth, Rohit and KhudaBaksh were equally talented and thus it was really much much difficult to predict the winner this time. The episode started with Sunil Grover’s power packed performance donning the character of Rinku bhabi and he was assisted by Sugandha Mishra.
