The voting phase of Sony Entertainment Television’s (SET) singing contest ‘Indian Idol Junior 2’ will open on 4 July, exclusively on the digital platform Sony Liv.
Viewers will be able to vote for their favourite contestant on the show only through the Sony Liv app or website.
The voting process will begin on the digital medium on 4 July and close the next day at 8 am.
The 13 contestants entering the voting phase are Subhankar Sarkar, Ranita Banerjee, Yumna Ajin, Niharika Nath, Ajay Bhirjwasi, Vaishnav Girish, Ananya Sritam Nanda, Nahid Afrin, Vidhi Jaswal, Srilakshmi Belmannu, Moti Khan, Nithyashree Venkataramanan, and Surendra Singh Panwar.
Multi Screen Media Pvt Ltd EVP and head digital entertainment Uday Sodhi said, “’Indian Idol Junior’ was extremely successful in its debut season and showed that music really has no boundaries.
With the show set to provide a bigger and grander stage this time, Sony Liv aims to increase the outreach of the programme by providing anytime digital access to its diverse user base.
The fact that voting lines are now open exclusively through the app or our online interface proves how the show is increasingly establishing a digital presence for its audience.”
Sony Liv is currently hosting the digital telecast of ‘Indian Idol Junior Season 2′, which launched on 30 May.
The show features budding singers from around the country competing for the title of the next Indian Idol Junior.
With a jury comprising Vishal Dadlani, Sonakshi Sinha, Salim Merchant and Shalmali Kholgade, the show is scouting for young singing talent aged between 5 and 15. The show is hosted by TV actors Hussain Kuwajerwala and Asha Negi.
